
Actor Dileep's wife Kavya Madhavan to be questioned in actor assault case

Actor Kavya Madhavan, wife of main accused Dileep, has been summoned for interrogation in the 2017 actor assault case on Monday.
In the latest development in the 2017 actor assault case, Kavya Madhavan has been summoned for interrogation. She is an actor and the wife of main accused actor Dileep. She has been asked to be present for interrogation on Monday, April 11.
This comes after the prosecution submitted three audio recordings to the Kerala High Court. One of them belongs to Sooraj, Dileep's brother-in-law, and he can purportedly be heard saying that the assault on the actor was masterminded by Kavya as opposed to Dileep. The conversation took place between Sharath, Dileep's friend, and Sooraj.

In 2017, an actress was abducted and allegedly molested in her car for two hours by some people who forced their way into the vehicle and later escaped. The incident was filmed and used to blackmail the actress.
Actor Dileep is one of the accused in the case. Later, the police accused him and others of conspiring to kill the investigating officers in the case.
There are ten accused in the 2017 case and the police have arrested seven. Dileep was arrested but is out on bail at present.
The prosecution have sought a three-month extension in the probe.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

According to the police, 19-year-old Sachin Dharmendrabhai Chaudhary, who works as a labourer, had borrowed the money before expressing his inability to repay it immediately, police said. He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
