Actor assault case: Dileep, other accused appear before crime branch for interrogation

Dileep and the other accused in the actor assault case appeared before the crime branch for interrogation on Sunday in Kerala's Kalamassery.
Actor Dileep and other accused appeared before the crime branch for interrogation in connection with an assault case of another Kerala actor on Sunday.
This comes a day after Kerala High Courted granted actor Dileep interim protection from arrest in the actor assault case.
The accused, who appeared before the court on Sunday, allegedly threatened investigation officers probing the case of sexual assault of an actor back in 2017.
The interrogation is taking place at the crime branch office in Kalamassery.
Actor Dileep arrived with his brother Anoop and brother-in-law Sooraj, who are also accused in the case.
The interrogation is very important with the actor assault case trial drawing to its end.
Police had on January 9 registered a case on a complaint filed by an investigating officer based on a purported audio clip of Dileep, in which the actor was heard conspiring to attack officials investigating the case.
