Four months after his arrest, Union minister Ajay Misra Teni's son Ashish will walk out of jail on Tuesday. He is the prime accused in the Lakhimpur Kheri violence case in which four farmers died after a vehicle ran them over.
Ashish Misra, prime accused in the Lakhimpur Kheri violence case, will walk out of jail on Tuesday. He was granted bail by the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court on February 10.
However, Ashish Misra, son of Union minister Ajay Misra Teni, could not be released as his bail order excluded two sections that he had been charged under. This includes sections 302 (murder) and 120B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code.
After his lawyer filed a correction application to get the sections added to the bail order, the Allahabad High Court on Monday decided to add the missing sections.
The paperwork for the release of Ashish Misra will begin as soon as the court issues the revised bail order. He will be released from Lakhimpur jail in Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday.
