An abandoned baby, two or three days old, was discovered in a garbage dump in Vellore. The locals searched and found the abandoned newborn after hearing the baby cry.
A baby girl, just a few days old, was found abandoned in a garbage dump in Vellore. Locals, after hearing the baby's cry, searched the garbage and discovered the abandoned baby.
The locals in the area immediately informed the Vellore North Police and the government hospital. The police found a small bag with dresses in it next to where the baby was found.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
