Aamir Khan recalls how ex-wife Reena Dutta learnt production work while filming Lagaan

On the 20th anniversary of Lagaan, Aamir recalled how his ex-wife Reena Dutta helped him with the production of the blockbuster film. It was Reena’s first time producing a movie.

It’s been two decades since the blockbuster film Lagaan was released on the big screens. The film not only impressed audiences in India, but Lagaan also made a mark internationally by receiving a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. On the occasion, Aamir went down the memory lane to share something special about the film that has stayed with him all these years. As Lagaan clocked 20 years on June 15, Aamir participated in a press conference to share special incidences of the legendary film that released in 2001. On being asked one particular thing that has stayed with him all these years, the actor recalled how his ex-wife, Reena Dutta assisted him to make his dream come true.
