Aaditya Thackeray inaugurates Mithi river clean-up pilot project

Maharashtra environment minister Aaditya Thackeray inaugurated the pilot project for the clean-up of the Mithi river on Friday.
The Mumbai Metropolitan Regional Development Authority (MMRDA) inaugurated the Mithi river clean-up pilot initiative with the goal of collecting and recycling floating debris. The event was held in the presence of Maharashtra environment minister Aaditya Thackeray at Bandra Kurla Complex on Friday. Today, we launched the Mithi River Clean-Up project by MMRDA in collaboration with the Marine Debris Partnership. This project will make use of a special machine developed by Finland’s RiverRecycle, which would collect floating plastic waste to clean the river and recycle it. pic.twitter.com/7EHN53vwvR The MMRDA will serve as the project's facilitator and will assess the performance of the Marine Debris Partnership as well as the results of the Mithi River clean-up Project.More Related News
