India recorded 39,796 Covid-19 infections on Sunday, keeping the new case tally below the 50,000 mark for the eight consecutive days. Also, the seven-day rolling average of new cases per million in the country has dropped from the second wave's peak of 283.5 on May 8 to 27.5 on July 4. The falling caseload in India notwithstanding, the spike in infections in some of the countries such as Iran, Iraq, Russia, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand is a cause of concern.More Related News
