75-year-old Odisha man turns 'messiah' for family of woman whose husband has gone missing

Madhusudan Patra, a 75-year-old man from Odisha's Ganjam, drove around 300 kilometres in his rickety moped to Jagatsinghpur to reach out to the family for financial assistance.

A 75-year-old elderly man from Odisha's Ganjam became a messiah for the family of a woman, whose husband has gone missing, after he drove around 300 kilometres in his rickety moped to Jagatsinghpur to reach out to the family for financial assistance. Madhusudan Patra helped the family, at the crucial time of their need, after he got news about the sufferings of an elderly lady, after her husband Gandharba Jena, who was the bread winner, disappeared. Patra's moped was laden with food and Rs 10,000 cash from his limited savings.
