Delhi Police have arrested two boys accused of raping a six-year-old girl in the Bhajanpura area of northeast Delhi, an official said on Tuesday. The third accused is absconding. The incident reportedly occurred on January 18.
After the girl’s family filed a complaint, police registered a case under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
Investigators said three boys—aged 10, 13 and 16—allegedly lured the girl and sexually assaulted her. Two of the juveniles have been taken into custody and presented before the Juvenile Justice Board, while efforts are ongoing to trace the third, a senior police officer said.
Police added that multiple teams have been deployed to locate the absconding juvenile, with CCTV footage and local intelligence inputs being examined.

As per the Bill, those involved in unlawful conversions on the pretext of marriage will be punished with imprisonment of seven years and shall also be liable for a fine of Rs 1 lakh. Violations in respect of a minor, a person of unsound mind, a woman or a person belonging to the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe will be punished with imprisonment of seven years and a fine of Rs 5 lakh.
