5kg gold worth Rs 2 crore seized from seven passengers at Kochi airport

As per reports, the passengers had arrived at Kochi airport from Bahrain, Sharjah and Dubai flights in the early hours of Sunday.

The air intelligence unit and customs sleuths at Cochin International Airport seized 5.064 kg of gold from seven passengers, including a woman, on Sunday.

According to a report published in The New Indian Express (TNIE), the passengers had arrived at Kochi airport from Bahrain, Sharjah and Dubai flights in the early hours of Sunday. These passengers originally belonged to Pathanamthitta, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
