Students will now be able to take up around 40 percent of courses per semester in their universities online, as per the new directive of UGC.
The University Grants Commission (UGC) has allowed universities to offer around 40 percent of courses per semester online to the students through the SWAYAM (Study Webs of Active Learning for Young Aspiring Minds) application. Regulations may be seen at :-https://t.co/IOjpIhRBoN pic.twitter.com/aiTwAVvdbN UGC’s new regulations called ‘Credit Framework for Online Learning Courses through Study Webs of Active Learning for Young Aspiring Minds Regulations, 2021’ will allow universities across the country to offer 40 percent of all courses in a programme online via the SWAYAM platform. The Commission said, “Every higher education institution shall within four weeks from the date of publication of these regulations in the official Gazette make the necessary amendments, as may be required, in their statutes, ordinances, rules, and regulations to adopt and incorporate the provisions of these regulations for seamless integration through SWAYAM based online courses.”
