As per the NEP's suggestions, Bangalore University has introduced 4-year BA and BSc honours degree programmes.
The new National Education Policy (NEP) introduced in 2020 brought in a host of changes in the education system, right from the pre-primary years to higher education. One of the major changes was changing the 3-year undergraduate studies structure into a 4-year pattern with multiple entry and exit points to make higher education more suited to get jobs later.
As per this suggestion, Bangalore University is starting four-year Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science honours degree courses from the academic year 2021-22.
