At least three people were killed after a fire broke out in a paper plate manufacturing factory in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday night. Several workers were also injured in the accident and were taken to hospital for treatment.

Fire tenders were rushed to the spot, following which the blaze was brought under control. Rescue operations were carried out and the injured were taken to the hospital.
It is suspected that the fire erupted due to a short circuit. However, the exact reason is yet to be ascertained.
