3 girls killed, several injured as temple roof collapses in Madhya Pradesh's Morena
At least three girls were killed, and several others injured after a portion of a temple roof collapsed in Morena district in Madhya Pradesh on Monday.
The incident took place at a local Mata temple when a heavy stone slab from the roof suddenly gave way and fell inside the temple premises. Several young girls who were inside the temple at the time were trapped under the debris.
According to local accounts, a couple from the village had come to the temple to offer prasad. In a devotional atmosphere, they called the girls inside the temple to collect the offering. As the girls entered, the roof slab collapsed leaving no time for anyone to react.

Preliminary information suggests that construction work was underway at the temple. The roof slab was reportedly in a weak condition, but the risk went unnoticed.
Police and administrative officials reached the spot after receiving information about the incident and initiated an investigation.
