3 dead, 11 hurt as truck runs over sleeping workers near Haryana’s Jhajjar

Three people died and 11 were injured after a truck, coming at high speed, ran over workers who were sleeping on the side of the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway near Haryana’s Jhajjar.

Three people died and 11 others were injured in a road accident near Haryana’s Jhajjar on the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway.

Among the injured, 10 injured were sent to the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGIMS), Rohtak for treatment, while one person was admitted to the trauma centre of Bahadurgarh for treatment.

All three victims and 11 injured are people who do repair work on the KMP Expressway. After finishing their jobs, the tired workers had fallen asleep on the side of the road.

An uncontrollable truck, coming at high speed from behind, hit the sleeping workers.

Police arrived on the spot and started an investigation into the matter. The bodies of the three people killed were sent for post-mortem to the Bahadurgarh General Hospital.
