Authorities assured optimum and necessary aid will be provided to Naxalites who were willing to surrender and join the mainstream of society.

Apparently fed up with life besieged with violence, Naxalites are becoming attracted towards the Surrender Policy that is being implemented by the Government of Maharashtra. Due to the effective implementation of the Surrender cum Rehabilitation Policy, to date, large numbers of active Naxalites have surrendered before Gadchiroli police and many more are in the pipeline.

Recently, two Naxalites, namely, 26-year-old Anil alias Ramsay Jagdeo Kujur, who is a resident of Timma Javeli, and 30-year-old Roshani alias Irape Narango Pallo, who is a resident of Dandimarka, surrendered before the Superintendent of Police, Gadchiroli Ankit Goyal.

Anil was recruited in the month of December 2009 as a member of Kasansur LOS (local organisational squad) and worked until May 2010. During the years 2012 to 2022, he served in the militia. In the year 2011, he was involved in the Khobramendha Ambush wherein one CRPF personnel was martyred and five were injured. He was also involved in the Mauja Nihaykal and Gyarapatti Road ambush wherein five officials were injured.

In the year 2011, he was also involved in an encounter in the forest area of Chota Zeliya.

It has been said that his reason to surrender involved the welfare schemes launched by the government.

On the other hand, Pallo had been serving as a Naxal after being recruited in 2009 by Jatput LOS for a month. She worked in the zone technical Dalam (data assimilation limited area model) between 2009 and 2015. She was involved in an encounter in Mauja Kundala in 2015. In 2015, she was accused of murdering three innocent residents of Mauja Irapnar.

In 2017, she was involved in an encounter in two different places in the forest area and Gotul of Mauja Durwada. Sources said that her reasons for surrendering included the fact that women and women were being discriminated against by senior Maoists in Naxal Dalam.
