
2 Delhi schools receive bomb threat emails; police, fire services present at spot

Officials said evacuation procedures were initiated as a precaution while bomb disposal squads and security personnel conducted thorough searches of the premises.
Two schools in the national capital received bomb threat emails on Monday morning, triggering precautionary evacuations and large-scale search operations by security agencies, officials said.
According to police, Army Public School Dhaula Kuan and Air Force Bal Bharati School received threatening emails, following which school authorities alerted law enforcement agencies.
“A bomb threat was received through email at two schools — Army Public School, Dhaula Kuan, and Air Force Bal Bharati School, Lodhi Road. As a precautionary measure, the premises were evacuated and thorough search operations are being carried out,” a senior police officer said.
Teams from Delhi Police, along with bomb disposal squads, dog squads and the Delhi Fire Service, rushed to both locations soon after receiving the information. Areas surrounding the schools were cordoned off to ensure the safety of students and staff.
Officials said the cyber cell has been roped in to trace the origin of the emails and identify the sender. So far, nothing suspicious has been found, police added, while search operations remain underway.

As per the Bill, those involved in unlawful conversions on the pretext of marriage will be punished with imprisonment of seven years and shall also be liable for a fine of Rs 1 lakh. Violations in respect of a minor, a person of unsound mind, a woman or a person belonging to the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe will be punished with imprisonment of seven years and a fine of Rs 5 lakh.
