
16-feet long security wall collapses in Thane amid incessant rainfall

A 16-feet-long security wall in the Mumbra area of Thane collapsed on Monday following heavy rainfall in the region.
Following incessant rainfall in the region, a 16-feet-long security wall of the Anil Bhagat Chawl in Mumbra, Thane, collapsed on Monday.
17 families from the chawl were temporarily shifted to the Thane Municipal Corporation school.

No injuries or casualties were reported.
Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for Mumbai and Thane districts predicting heavy rains at isolated places till Friday.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
