
16 Afghan evacuees test Covid positive, sent for quarantine

Sixteen out of 78 evacuees from Afghanistan have tested positive for Covid-19. All evacuees have been sent for quarantine.
Sixten out of 78 evacuees who reached India on Tuesday tested positive for Covid-19. The infected evacuees also include the three Sikhs who brought back with them Guru Granth Sahib from several Afghanistan Gurudwaras. Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri who was at the Delhi airport to receive Sikhs also came in contact of the infected people.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
