Chennai airport cancels 7 departures and 5 arrivals on December 11, 2024 due to various reasons.
Seven departure and five arrival flights were cancelled at Chennai airport on Wednesday (December 11, 2024) due to various reasons.
Departure flights to cities including Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, Madurai, Shimoga, Bagdogra, Jaffna and Kolkata and arrival flights from Thiruvananthapuram, Madurai, Kochi, Kolkata and Jaffna were cancelled.
While eight flights were cancelled due to operational reasons, two flights couldn’t take off due to technical glitch, airport officials said.
The departure and arrival flight from Jaffna were cancelled due to poor weather conditions at Jaffna.
One flight was diverted to Bengaluru from Chennai airport as the rains lashed the city for a brief period on Wednesday morning. The flight from New Delhi which had to land in Chennai at 10 a.m. couldn’t do so and was diverted to Bengaluru.
