12,764 cases settled during Lok Adalat in Mysuru

Over 12,700 cases settled in Mysuru's Lok Adalat, achieving settlements worth ₹74.67 crore, facilitating significant legal resolutions.
A total of 12,764 cases were settled during the National Lok Adalat held across courts in Mysuru district on Saturday, in accordance with the directions of the National Legal Services Authority, New Delhi, and the Karnataka State Legal Services Authority, Bengaluru.
According to officials, courts in Mysuru city and taluk had a total of 1,31,411 pending cases, including 65,475 civil cases and 65,936 criminal cases. Of these, 44,746 were identified as compoundable cases eligible for settlement. From this pool, 22,064 cases were taken up for conciliation during the Lok Adalat, out of which 12,764 pending court cases were successfully resolved.
In family dispute cases, 40 couples from Mysuru city and taluk courts resolved their differences and reunited during the settlement process. Overall, settlements worth ₹74,66,67,115 were reached during the Lok Adalat, according to an official release.
Principal District and Sessions Judge Usha Rani expressed gratitude to members of the Bar Association, advocates, litigants, the police department, and various government departments for their cooperation in making the Lok Adalat a success.
Senior Civil Judge Amar Nath K.K., Mysuru Bar Association president S. Lokesh, secretary A.G. Sudheer, and judges of various courts in Mysuru city were present.
