The high ranges of central and southern Kerala are experiencing almost similar to that of the situation the state faced during the time of devastating floods of 2018 and 2019.
At least 11 people died after heavy rains lashed across Kerala on Saturday. Many are feared missing as landslides washed away three houses and several bridges in southern and central Kerala. Kottayam and Idukki have been the worst affected districts due to one of the heaviest downpours in the state in recent years.

Amid preparations for an engagement and haldi ceremony in Maharashtra's Dhule district, an argument broke out between two groups over the printing of names on a wedding invitation card, during which three people were attacked with sharp weapons and killed. Three others were injured and are undergoing treatment.
