Sawang Janpram's everyday routine includes daily walks with his 70-year-old daughter, Siripan, and simple house chores like sweeping up fallen leaves in their garden.
It takes Thai athlete Sawang Janpram 27.08 seconds to run 100 metres. That's not bad, given he is 102 years old.
Sawang is known for being the oldest sprinter in the Southeast Asian country and has participated four times in the annual Thailand Master Athletes Championships, particularly in the 100-metre dash, javelin, and discus events.
Last weekend at the championship's 26th iteration, held in the southwestern Samut Songkhram province, he won all the gold medals in the 100-105 years category, as he has outlived all rivals in that age range.
"Getting into sports made me strong and well. As well as this, exercising helps improve your appetite, so you eat well too," Sawang said when asked about the secret to his longevity.

Legal immigration to the US in 2025 has seen one of its sharpest declines since the pandemic. About 2,50,000 fewer visas in total were issued compared to 2024, reported The Washington Post. The drop has been global, but India stands out as one of the worst affected, alongside China. Visa approvals for the two countries fell by a combined 84,000.

Oil and gas refineries and hubs are up in flames not just in the Middle East, but also in Russia and the US. Crude oil prices have surged over $100 a barrel. With the energy infrastructure in the Middle East likely to take years to be rebuilt, the world could be set for the biggest oil disruption in history.
