1 dead, 3 critical as Tamil Nadu govt bus collides with lorry, bike in Thanjavur

A TN government bus collided head-on with a lorry and a two-wheeler before it overturned and fell into a lake near Thanjavur. The bus driver died on the spot and three people on the bike, a man, his wife and child, are in critical condition.
A Tamil Nadu government bus collided with a container lorry, and further with a two-wheeler, near Thanjavur, before it overturned and fell into a roadside lake. The bus driver was killed on the spot.
The government bus, which was travelling from Trichy to Pattukottai, collided head-on with a container lorry on the Valambakkudi road near Thanjavur. Then, the government bus hit a bike, before falling into the lake.
Selvam, who was riding the bike, was travelling with his wife and child at the time of the collision. All three of them are in critical condition and are being treated in the Tanjore Medical College Hospital.
The government bus driver, Sivakumar, (45) died on the spot in the accident. Twenty people were injured in the crash.
The local police were informed about the incident and they rushed to the spot and rushed the injured to the Tanjore Medical College Hospital for treatment.
