Around 1.80 lakh criminal cases are pending in the Allahabad High Court, the Uttar Pradesh government informed the Supreme Court.
Around 1.80 lakh criminal cases are pending in the Allahabad High Court, which presently has a vacancy of 67 judges. Against the sanctioned strength of 160, the Allahabad High Court currently has 93 judges, the Uttar Pradesh government has told the Supreme Court. "As of August 2021, there are about 1,83,000 criminal appeals pending in both the Lucknow bench and the Allahabad High Court," the UP government and the Allahabad High Court registry informed a Supreme Court bench headed by Justice SK Kaul.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
