Zelenskyy Rejects Trump's 'Children Fighting' Analogy, Says Putin Is A 'Murderer'

Trump previously said the U.S. should let Russia and Ukraine "fight for a while" like kids on a playground.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy rejected President Donald Trump’s idea that Russia and Ukraine are like kids at the playground who would be better off fighting for a while before being pulled apart.
“We are not kids with [Russian President Vladimir] Putin at the playground in the park,” Zelenskyy said in an interview with ABC’s Martha Raddatz. “He is a murderer who came to this park to kill the kids.”
Trump made the analogy during an Oval Office meeting with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.
“Sometimes you see two young children fighting like crazy,” Trump said. “They hate each other, and they’re fighting in a park, and you try and pull them apart. They don’t want to be pulled. Sometimes you’re better off letting them fight for a while and then pulling them apart.”
He noted that he had relayed the sentiment in a call with Putin earlier in the week.
