Lauren Boebert Spars With Reporter Who Calls Out Her 'Juvenile Insults'

The right-wing congresswoman doubled down on a wacky claim about ICE and got into an "embarrassing" spat with a journalist.
Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) won’t give up on her debunked claim about ICE at airports, and now she’s fighting online with a reporter over it.
A fed-up Billy Binion of the outlet Reason slammed Boebert for “chasing attention on social media and lobbing juvenile insults at strangers” like himself.
The dustup spilled over into Thursday but started a few days earlier. Boebert, in perhaps a suck-up to President Donald Trump after disagreeing with him on the Epstein files and the Iran war budget, tried to prove that the president’s deployment of ICE agents to air travel hubs was working.
In a video post on Monday she said, “So President Trump sends ICE agents to the airports across the country and while the rest of our country has three-plus hour waits ― thanks, Democrats ― Minneapolis airport’s TSA wait time right now is less than five minutes. Called it!”
But news reports attached to a community note said there was no ICE presence at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. An airport official attributed the efficient security lines to “the commitment of the local TSA team.”
