Yogi govt trying to communalise polls: UP Congress chief Lallu' on ‘abba jaan' remark

Uttar Pradesh Congress chief Ajay Kumar Lallu hit out at the state chief minister Yogi Adityanath over his recent "abba jaan" remark, saying that his government is trying to "communalise the upcoming assembly polls in the state".

Uttar Pradesh Congress president Ajay Kumar Lallu on Monday accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government of Uttar Pradesh of attempting to communalise the upcoming assembly polls in the state. He attacked Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath over his remark that “those saying ‘abba jaan’ used to get all the ration before 2017”. Taking a swipe at Yogi Adityanath, Ajay Kumar Lallu said the BJP government was trying to “communalise election” in Uttar Pradesh.
