Yasin Malik gets life term: Ex-NIA cop who supervised terror funding case welcomes court order

Former NIA IG Anil Shukla, who supervised the terror funding case, has welcomed the court’s order to sentence Kashmiri separatist Yasin Malik to life imprisonment.
Anil Shukla, former National Investigation Agency (NIA) Inspector General (IG), who supervised the Yasin Malik terror funding case, welcomed the court’s order to sentence the Kashmiri separatist to life imprisonment.
“Today’s order is very satisfying,” Shukla said, giving credit to his team, and other teams.The court awarded two life sentences to Yasin Malik even as the National Investigation Agency (NIA) had sought a death sentence against him.

Special Judge Praveen Singh awarded varying jail terms to Yasin Malik in nine cases.
The former NIA IG said, “The hard work of 5 years has paid off.”
The senior police officer said, “We placed six charge-sheets of a total of 30,000 pages and submitted them to the court.”
