
Yadgir MLA writes to CM seeking funds for infrastructure development

Yadgir MLA requests ₹585.28 crore from the Chief Minister for vital infrastructure development in his constituency.
Yadgir MLA Channareddy Patil Tunnur has submitted a requisition to the Chief Minister urging him to earmark ₹585.28 crore in the State Budget for infrastructure development in his constituency.
Mr. Tunnur has said that the funds are required for taking up infrastructure development works in his constituency.
In a release here on Sunday, Mr. Tunnur has said that he has highlighted the importance of providing infrastructure, including underground drainage, hospitals, culverts and industrial college buildings, and has requested the Chief Minister to earmark the grants for taking up development works.
Mr. Tunnur has underlined the development works that are to be taken up immediately and given details about the grants required for them.
He has stated that ₹288.70 crore is required for underground drainage works in Yadgir city, ₹100 crore for the construction of a 200-bed super-speciality hospital on the premises of Yadgir Institute of Medical Science (YIMS), ₹20.58 crore for the construction of a 50-bed hospital in Wadagera, ₹2 crore for a 50-bed AYUSH Hospital in Yadgir, ₹2 crore for a training hall for the Health Department, ₹75 crore for the construction of 15 culverts on the Wanamarapalli-Raichur State Highway, ₹25 crore for various development works under the recently upgraded Doranahalli Town Panchayat and ₹73 crore for the establishment of the Government Tool Room and Training Centre (GTTC) in Yadgir city.

The award carries ₹1 lakh in prize money. It will be presented to him at a function to be held at Gaudhama farm in Muniyal, Karkala taluk in Udupi district on February 20, 2026, according to G. Ramakrishna Achar, chairman of the company.
