Several Xiaomi Redmi smartphones are available with a limited period offer that slashes the prices by up to Rs 2,000 and can reportedly be availed through online channels as well as retail outlets.The new and discounted prices have been listed for Redmi Note 9 Pro Max (Review), Redmi Note 9 Pro (Review), Redmi Note 9, Redmi 9i and Redmi 9 Prime. The smartphones are being sold at the new price on both Amazon India as well as Mi.com.The said discount is applicable on a total of 10 variants of the smartphones listed above and ranges from Rs 200 to Rs 2000 based on these variants. The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max, for instance, currently holds a Rs 2,000 discount, bringing its starting price down to Rs 14,999 from the previous Rs 16,999.A similar discount is being offered on the Redmi Note 9 Pro (4GB+128GB), with its price now coming down to Rs 13,999. Five other smartphones are being offered at a discount of Rs 1000 upon their original price. These include Redmi Note 9 Pro Max (6GB+128GB), Redmi Note 9 Pro (4GB+64GB), Redmi Note 9 (6GB+128GB) and (4GB+64GB) and Redmi 9 Prime (4GB+128GB). The discount brings their price down to Rs 17,499, Rs 12,999, Rs 13,999, Rs 10,999 and Rs 10,999 respectively.Three other variants are up for grabs at smaller discounts of Rs 500 or less. These include Redmi Note 9 (4GB+128GB), Redmi 9 Prime (4GB+64GB) and Redmi 9i (4GB + 64GB). The discount will reportedly go on till the end of this month.A report by 91Mobiles indicates that the discounted prices are being offered in retail stores as well. The limited-period discount follows the launch of Xiaomi’s new Note 10 series in the country. The new Xiaomi smartphones under the series banner were up for their first flash sale earlier today.So those looking to buy a budget smartphone and do not mind opting for a previous-gen device might find the discounts to be an ideal opportunity. That being said, note that even the new Note 10 series lineup comes with cashback offers of up to Rs 1500 on both Amazon India as well as Mi.com. The deal in this case, however, is restricted to people using ICICI Bank debit and credit cards.
