
Xiaomi 17 and 17 Ultra launching in India on March 11, here is everything you need to know about them

Xiaomi has unveiled its latest flagship lineup — the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra — for global markets at MWC 2026. The series is set to make its India debut on March 11. The company has also showcased the Xiaomi Pad 8 series at the event.
Xiaomi has unveiled its latest flagship Xiaomi 17 series at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026 in Barcelona. The lineup is equipped with Leica optics and is set to make its India debut on March 11. At the event, the Chinese smartphone maker also showcased the Xiaomi Pad 8 lineup.
The Xiaomi 17 is positioned as the more compact flagship in the lineup. It features a 6.3-inch AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 3,500 nits and a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone weighs 191 grams and carries an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is the larger, camera-focused flagship in the series. It sports a 6.9-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and weighs approximately 219 grams. Like the standard model, it carries an IP68 rating.
The Xiaomi 17 and 17 Ultra are both powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The Xiaomi 17 comes in a single global configuration with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, starting at Euro 999 (around Rs 1,07,365). The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is priced globally at Euro 1,499 (around Rs 1,61,048). The India pricing for both devices will be announced on March 11.
On the camera front, the Xiaomi 17 features a Leica-backed triple-camera system, comprising a 50-megapixel primary sensor along with a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 50-megapixel telephoto lens with a Leica 60mm floating lens design.
In terms of photography, the 17 Ultra features a Leica-tuned triple-camera setup that includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor along with a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens. The telephoto camera supports 3.2x to 4.3x continuous optical zoom (75–100mm equivalent) using a movable mechanical zoom system.
