Congress MLA Sukhpal Singh Khaira took a swipe at CM Bhagwant Mann over extra security and claimed 42 vehicles are part of his convoy.
Sukhpal Singh Khaira, MLA from Punjab's Bholath, in a tweet claimed that 42 vehicles are part of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann's cavalcade, the largest in state history. Former CMs Captain Amarinder Singh and Parkash Singh Badal had a convoy of 33 vehicles, Khaira said.
The Congress MLA said, citing an RTI reply, the state transport commissioner has sanctioned 42 vehicles to form CM Mann's convoy.

Meanwhile, CM Mann on Tuesday tabled the confidence motion in the state assembly as he targeted the BJP over its alleged operation lotus and the Congress for being hand-in-glove with the party.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
