• Mikaela Shiffrin’s last chance: The American star has one last chance to break her Games drought and secure her first Olympic medal in eight years in the women’s slalom today. Shiffrin currently leads the slalom after a fantastic run 1. Run 2 begins at 7:30 a.m. ET. • Women’s figure skating: Japan took the first two spots and USA’s Alysa Liu placed third yesterday after the short program ahead of Thursday’s free skate. Liu’s teammates Amber Glenn and Isabeau Levito finished several spots away. • USA v. Sweden: The two countries will face each other today in the men’s hockey quarterfinal after Sweden defeated Latvia 5-1 yesterday.
