The raid on Monday follows two FIRs filed by the Delhi Police Special Cell against 10 gangsters who belong to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, the Bambiha gang and the Neeraj Bawana gang.
The NIA raids are being conducted to crack down on gangs that are operating from inside jails in India and abroad.
The FIR filed by the Delhi Police mentions several members of the Lawrence Bishnoi Gang. This includes Lawrence Bishnoi himself, Goldie Brar, Vikram Brar, Jaggu Bhagwanpuria, Sandeep, Sachin Thapan and Anmol Bishnoi. The report said these gangsters are operating from different jails in the country and from abroad in Canada, Pakistan and Dubai.

Lawrence Bishnoi is a key accused in the Sidhu Moose Wala murder case. According to sources, Bishnoi had taken a vow to kill Moose Wala after his friend and Youth Akali Dal leader Vikramjit Middukhera was shot dead on August 7, 2021 in Mohali.
Goldy Brar, whose full name is Satwinderjit Singh, claimed responsibility for killing Punjabi singer-politician Sidhu Moose Wala. He is an active member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
