As the political slugfest over the 'security breach' of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Punjab continues, letters from the state's Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) have surfaced which he wrote to his juniors ahead of the PM's rally in Ferozepur that was subsequently cancelled on Wednesday.
In the three letters which were written to the Punjab Police officers, including ADGPs and DGPs, the state administration was asked to ensure proper security arrangements and traffic restrictions are in place due to the farmers' agitation.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
