The Hindu
Check your name in West Bengal's final SIR voter list for 2026 Assembly elections via the Election Commission of India (ECI) website or local Booth Level Officers.
The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Saturday (February 28, 2026) began publishing the post-SIR electoral rolls in West Bengal in phases, with figures from Bankura district showing that about 1.18 lakh names have been removed since the exercise started.
The development is significant as the State heads towards Assembly elections in the coming months. District Election Officers will provide hard copies of the final roll to the political parties. The final electoral roll will also be accessible on the ECI website.
Voters may view the final electoral roll online through the official websites of the Chief Electoral Officer of West Bengal (ceowestbengal.wb.gov.in) and the ECI (eci.gov.in). By entering their name and EPIC number (Voter ID number) on the designated portal, voters can verify whether their names are included.
Names that have been confirmed will appear without any category tag. Entries that are pending verification will be marked “Under Adjudication”, and those removed from the rolls will be marked “Deleted”. Here’s a step-by-step guide:
