Weather Forecast LIVE: IMD forecasts very heavy rainfall for West Bengal; Assam and Meghalaya also on alert

Heavy to very heavy rainfall has been predicted for West Bengal for today and various districts have been put on alert. According to IMD, isolated extremely heavy falls are likely over Assam and Meghalaya till August 13.

Even though the monsoon has entered a break mode in the country, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted very heavy rainfall for West Bengal between August 11 and 15. The weather agency in its latest bulletin said that the current spell of weak monsoon over the country is likely to continue for the next five days, news agency PTI reported.
