After Droupadi Murmu was sworn in as the 15th President of India on Monday, congratulatory messages poured in from every corner of the country.
Wishes and greetings poured in from the political fraternity on Monday after Droupadi Murmu was sworn in as the 15th President of India. She became the second woman President of the country and the first-ever tribal woman to hold the highest Constitutional post in India.
The first in line to extend his wishes was Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who took to Twitter and said that it was a watershed moment for India, especially for the poor, marginalised and downtrodden.

He took to Twitter and wrote, "The entire nation watched with pride as Smt. Droupadi Murmu Ji took oath as the President of India. Her assuming the Presidency is a watershed moment for India especially for the poor, marginalised and downtrodden. I wish her the very best for a fruitful Presidential tenure."
