There will be no water supply in certain parts of Chennai on October 27 and 28. According to the Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (CMWSSB), certain areas of Chennai will not receive water supply for two days owing to the shifting of pipelines to construct a stormwater drain, reported the Indian Express. The civic body is planning to construct a stormwater drain near Elephant Gate Bridge on Wall Tax Road. Taking to its official Twitter handle, CMWSSB said, "Due to the construction of stormwater drains ahead of the upcoming monsoon, the supply of drinking water in the specified regions of Area-5 will be stopped on the 27th and 28th of this month." (sic)
