The water level in Papanasam dam on Thursday stood at 142.05 feet (maximum permissible level is 143 feet). The dam had an inflow of 2,043.98 cusecs and 1,646.95 cusecs of water was discharged. The level in Manimuthar dam stood at 113.57 feet (118 feet) with both inflow and discharge of 1,055 cusecs.
