
Water level in Papanasam Dam stands at 114.05 feet

Current water levels in Papanasam and Manimuthar Dams with inflow and discharge rates provided.
The water level in Papanasam Dam on Wednesday stood at 114.05 feet (maximum level 143 feet). The dam had an inflow of 312.87 cusecs and a discharge of 804.75 cusecs. The level in Manimuthar Dam stood at 102.05 feet (maximum level 118 feet). The dam had an inflow of 290.98 cusecs and a discharge of 430 cusecs.

The much-anticipated Special Cabinet meeting to iron out differences over internal reservation among 101 Scheduled Castes, which was to be held on Friday, has been postponed to beyond April 9. The decision came after Advocate-General Shashi Kiran Shetty advised that any decision to be taken would be in violation of the model code of conduct (MCC) in place due to byelections to the Bagalkot and Davangere South Assembly seats to be held on April 9.
