Water level in Mullaperiyar dam on Saturday was 138.85 feet (permissible level is 142 ft.) with an inflow of 704 cusecs and a discharge of 1,867 cusecs. The level in Vaigai dam was 69.09ft. (maximum level 71 ft.) with an inflow of 2,312 cusecs and a discharge of 2,349 cusecs. Rainfall recorded in the region during the last 24 hours ending 6 a.m. on Saturday: Pulipatti 12.6 mm, Periyapatti 8.2mm, Chittampatti 7.4mm, Madurai 7.4, Thekkadi 7.0, Melur 4.0, Thaniyamangalam 4.0, Mettupattu 3.6, Kallandiri 3.0, Gudalur 2.4, Veerapandi 2.2, Shanmuganadhi 1.6, Peranai 1.2 and Periyar 0.4.
