Water level in Papanasam dam stood at 111.30 feet (the maximum level is 143 ft.) with an inflow of 370.68 cusecs and a discharge of 600 cusecs. Water level in Manimuthar dam was 101 ft. (118 ft.) with an inflow of 171.44 cusecs and a discharge of 495 cusecs. Rainfall recorded in Tirunelveli district during the 24 hours ending at 6 a.m on Sunday was (in mm): Manjolai 4, Kakkachi 7, Nalumukku 9 and Oothu 12.
