Was it Constitutional when he poached LJP MLAs? Chirag Paswan’s jibe at Nitish Kumar
India Today
Chirag Paswan's taunts came after CM Nitish Kumar said that poaching MLAs from other parties to oneself was not only wrong but unconstitutional.
Chirag Paswan, in an explicit jibe at Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, said that one should not pelt stones on another when their houses are built of glass. The remark holds relevance as CM Kumar referred to the JDU MLAs defection to the BJP in Manipur. He had said that the practice of poaching MLAs from other parties to oneself was not only wrong but unconstitutional too.
Speaking to the media on Saturday, the Bihar chief minister implied that the attempt to poach JDU MLAs was good in a way as the practice spoke volumes about the ruling BJP. CM Kumar went on to say that the BJP would pay the price for their deed in the 2024 elections.
"Is this (poaching JDU MLAs) the right thing to do?" Nitish Kumar had remarked.

Subsequently, Paswan launched a verbal attack on CM Kumar. Taking to Twitter, the Lok Janshakti Party (Paswan) leader shared, "Chief Minister Nitish Kumar Ji said one thing absolutely right is that it is unconstitutional to mix MLAs from other parties and join their party. So, Chief Minister, what was the constitutional act when you broke up the MLAs and MPs of the Lok Janshakti Party?"
"Not only this, you (Nitish Kumar) have put a foot in my house, my family, then where were you sleeping? Today, when the matter came upon itself, it started talking about constitutional and unconstitutional. Nitish Kumar Ji when his own house is made of glass, he does not pelt stones at the houses of others."
