Twenty-eight-year-old Shabnam Hashemi, a mother of two now, had returned to Afghanistan in 2001 when she was 16 and the Taliban rule was over. She is among the women in the war-torn country who are not allowed to work after the Taliban rule has returned.
Protests have erupted in Afghanistan against the Taliban and Pakistan over their alleged nexus that has set the country back by many years. While the Taliban are imposing Sharia law, banning women from working, Pakistan's support to the radical organisation has also irked the Afghans. Among women not allowed to work is a former student of an Indian school.
