The spot where Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala was killed is testimony to the violence that played out. Car windows were shattered in the attack and walls of nearby buildings were riddled with bullet holes.
Popular Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala was gunned down by unidentified assailants in Jawaharke village of Mansa district on Sunday, days after his security cover was withdrawn by the state government.
The attack took place in a residential area. Sidhu Moose Wala’s convoy was ambushed at a turn in the road. As vehicles had to slow down to make the turn, the gunmen took advantage of this and intercepted the singer's car.

Punjab Director General of Police V K Bhawra has said the killing of Sidhu Moose Wala seemed to be the result of an inter-gang rivalry. A three-member special investigation team (SIT) has been set up to investigate the incident.
The DGP further said 30 empty bullet shells have been recovered and at least three weapons like 9 mm and 455 bore appeared to have been used in the crime.
