He conducted the ward inspection along with personnel from various departments here on Friday. He visited Krishna Nagar, Virat Nagar and Prahladapuram. He was accompanied by corporator R Triveni Varaprasada Rao.
During the visit, the corporator informed about various issues being faced by the residents, especially regarding the roads, drains, sanitation etc. The Mayor directed engineering officials to prepare estimates for repairing the main drains and canals in Krishna Nagar and Virat Nagar. The Mayor said that with the increase in residential areas, many roads which were originally laid during the panchayat era were deteriorated and badly required repairs. He instructed officials to inspect and propose road-widening projects, urging local residents to cooperate with the process.
The Mayor also directed the authorities to provide basic facilities at a crematorium in Virat Nagar, to make it more accessible for the public.
