Vials used in Mumbai’s unauthorised vaccination drive was allotted to Daman & Diu: BMC official

According to a BMC official, the vials used in the unauthorised vaccination drive in Mumbai’s Kandivali housing society was originally allotted to Daman and Diu.

In what could be a crucial breakthrough in Mumbai’s vaccine scam investigation, an official from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said that the vials used during the unauthorised vaccination drive in housing society in suburban Kandivali was originally allotted to Daman and Diu in Gujarat. Last week, the BMC had sought details of the batch number of the Covishield vials used in the immunisation camp. An email was sent to the Serum Institute of India, mentioning the batch numbers of the vaccine vials, to find out which hospital supplied the same.
