US Open 2021: Fans must show proof of at least one dose of Covid-19 vaccination to attend matches

Earlier in the week, the USTA said spectators would not be required to wear masks or show proof of their vaccination status to attend matches at the U.S. Open.

Spectators must show proof of receiving at least one does of the Covid-19 vaccine to attend 2021 US Open matches, said the United States Tennis Association (USTA) in a rule change made less than 72 hours before the start of the final Grand Slam of the year. The USTA announced Friday that the New York City mayor's office decided to require proof of vaccination to go into Arthur Ashe Stadium, the main arena at the National Tennis Center.
